Wrapping it up...

On Friday the 14th, we spent the day in Leavenworth and then shopping in Wenatchee. The kids packed a picnic lunch and then had a "snack" of a sampling of German food at King Ludwigs. Yummy!!

On Monday the 17th, we visited the Wild Horses Wind Farm just off the Vantage Highway. We learned a lot about how the windmills actually work and to see just how huge they are was amazing!






On Tuesday the 18th we visited the City of Quincy. Our good friend and Quincy City Administrator Tim Snead told the kids a little bit about his community and presented each of the Gunpo visitors with a very nice book about Grant County.

Part of Quincy day was a visit to ConAgra. Mr. Goeden told us all about the french fry factory and we even had fresh samples of fries.
Next, we visited Yahoo! and had a great tour. They showed us some of the great new technology that Yahoo! is using at their data centers. Yahoo! does a great job with their environmental awareness.
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce treated us to a pizza lunch.
Our last stop in Quincy was at the Gorge Amphitheater. It's so beautiful out there!
To end the day, we were hosted by Commissioner Carter and her family for a barbecue and water fun. The kids had a BLAST!! Thank-you Cindy and family!!








On Wednesday, we started out at a local fish farm where lots and lots of fish eggs are produced. The kids had a great time feeding the fish and learning about how they grow.




Finally it was time for Camp Delany. Our camp hostess, Benaya Allison, set up lots of activities for the kids, including pie making and square dancing. Fun!

Dan is truly a coach! He did a great job teaching the kids how to play the game.
Joey came up to camp on Thursday morning and led us on our nature hike. He told us all about the Missoula Floods and the geology around us. We saw a really big deer while we were out there.





We made a quick stop at Dry Falls to check out the view from above.
Our last stop of the day was at Grand Coulee Dam. It was HOT! But the kids learned a lot.
