It was a beautiful day today. We ventured south to Bu yeo City to see some of the countryside and learn some history. On the way there we were able to see the solar eclipse. It was spectacular! Of course, we were all very careful while glimpsing the sky. One benefit of the eclipse was that it made the morning much cooler.
Here you see several tombs of Kings. We were able to see a replica so that we could see what one of these would look like inside. Pretty much a small, brick chamber decorated with paintings.
Our tour guide shared information about this incense burner.
The cultural center had very nice representations of the area. The guide used this model to show us what we had seen and to let us know what our next stops would be.

Lunch! Very yummy and way too much to eat in one sitting.
This is the fountain of youth. The story goes that each drink makes you younger by three years.
Part of our trip today was a ferry ride. The kids enjoyed it and the scenery was great.
I saw these women out working in the mid-day sun and thought I would share.
This particular site is being excavated and rebuilt. This 5 level pagoda is one of the original things left.
Callie and Kayci found a comfy, cool spot for a rest.
